This family-friendly world premiere production asks: “Where does hope come from when faced with random cruelty?” and is inspired by the mission of The Red Fred Project and its founder, Dallas Graham. The Red Fred Project finds children living in extraordinary circumstances and empowers them through a guided creative process that ultimately inspires them to author an original book. These creative kids, most of whom are terminally ill, have faced significant challenges in short lifetimes with humor and compassion and have wisdom-filled stories to share.
The Live Creature and Ethereal Things will be choreographed by Artistic Director Daniel Charon with an original score composed by John Paul Hayward. The story is being developed in collaboration with Robert Scott Smith and Alexandra Harbold of Flying Bobcat Theatrical Laboratory.
Music commissioned by the Charles and Joan Gross Family Foundation
In addition to the two evening performances, there will be a Saturday matinee performance as a part of the Moving Parts Family Series.
